I am dissatisfied with a sentence imposed by the Court. Can I seek advice from the Ministry of Law on what I should do?
The Courts in Singapore are independent and have exclusive jurisdiction over the cases they hear. We regret that the Ministry of Law is not in a position to intervene in any court judgement or ruling.
- Where do I go to enforce a maintenance order obtained against my ex-husband?
You should approach the Family Court for assistance on enforcement of maintenance order. The Family Court also deals with all family proceedings in Singapore. You may wish to approach the Legal Aid Bureau for help if it is a non-criminal case and you qualify for legal aid after undergoing the Means and Merits tests.
