The Pasir Ris-Punggol Town Council held its Town Day on 12th December 2010 (Sunday), at Sengkang Square (near Sengkang Community Hub). The event was graced by Guest-of-Honour, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defence, MP for Pasir Ris-Punggol GRC, Mr Teo Chee Hean.

The CMC and several other public agencies such as the Housing and Development Board, the Ministry of Manpower set up exhibition booths at Blk 207 Boon Lay Place on 4th September 2010 (Saturday) for the Boon Lay Community Awareness Day, organised by the Harmonious Community Committee (HCC).

To encourage the spirit of mediation amongst students, the Community Mediation Unit (CMU) conducted two half-day Peer Mediation Workshops with two schools during the first quarter of the 2009's school term. CMU collaborated with Pei Hwa Secondary School to conduct a Peer Mediation Workshop for 26 students on 27 February 2009 and organised our very first Primary School workshop at Holy Innocents' Primary School on 18 March 2009 for 33 students.

In collaboration with the Housing & Development Board (HDB), two Basic Mediation Workshops were conducted by CMU's consultant, Dr Lim Lan Yuan from 9th to 10th February and 16th to 17th February to HDB frontline officers.

The Hougang Neighbourhood Police Centre (NPC) in collaboration with the 19 schools which come under its jurisdiction (9 Primary Schools, 9 Secondary Schools and 1 Junior College), held a 'Schools Networking Session' on Wednesday, 5 November 2008 at Serangoon Secondary School. Attended by the schools' Discipline Masters, Operational Managers and school counsellors, the Networking Session provided a platform for interaction between the representatives from the schools, the Police, the Covenant Family Service Centre (Hougang NPC's partner Family Service Centre) and the CMU to share experiences and improve working relations in an informal setting.
