Significance of Logo

The logo consists of the initials ‘CMC’ with a gradient arc over them. Its design reflects a fundamental feature of mediation and the Community Mediation Centres (CMCs): to provide a simple, effective avenue for dispute resolution.

Community Mediation Centre The two 'C's in the logo symbolise the disputing parties and the ‘M’ represents the mediation centre acting as a go-between or uniting force. The overarching curve links the letters to convey a sense of unification, reflecting the CMC’s mission to bridge fissures caused by conflict and contention, and echoing the CMC's slogan 'Building Bridges to Reconciliation'.

The arc’s gradient represents a rainbow, commonly associated with hope and renewal. The CMC similarly aspires to bring hope to frustrated parties and restore goodwill to relationships through the use of mediation.

The dark blue letters connotes the stability and reliability of the CMCs. This is tempered by the arc's warm, rich and earthy colours to lend an air of cheer, friendliness, approachability and ultimately, optimism.
